Ingredients
1 cup Yellow Moong Dal (Split) - soaked for an hour
2 Green Bell Pepper (Capsicum) - finely chopped
2 Dry Red Chillies - adjust
1 teaspoon Fennel seeds (Saunf)
1 teaspoon Mustard seeds
1/2 teaspoon White Urad Dal (Split)
1 sprig Curry leaves
1 pinch Asafoetida (hing)
Salt - to taste

To begin making Capsicum Usili formula (Tamil Nadu Style Capsicum cooked with lentils masala condiment agitate), wash and soak the split moong dal for an hour.empty out the aqua and grind it along with red chillies, fennel seeds and little table salt to a coarse agitate using a mixer grinder, and keep it aside.scalding up cooking oil in a skillet/Kadai on a medium scalding up, introduce the mustard seeds and urad dal and let it splutter.introduce the asafoetida and curry leaf.Now, introduce the capsicum, augment the taste with table salt and agitate it well.Let the capsicum make for 3-4 moments.Take this capsicum out in a mixing bowl and keep aside.In the same skillet introduce 2 tablespoons of cooking oil and the coarsely ground moong dal agitate.make until the moong dal agitate is cooked well, stirring in between.

This will take 6-7 moments.Now introduce the sautéed capsicum to this moong dal mixture and give it a good agitate.stew for another 5 moments until the capsicum and the moong dal mixture is well combined.Switch off the flame and dish up the Capsicum Usili formula along with Steamed Rice and Tomato Rasam or Thakkali Vengaya Kuzhambu formula for a weeknight dinner.
