1 cup Purple yam
1 cup Gram flour (besan)
1/2 cup Water
1/2 teaspoon Salt
1 teaspoon Turmeric powder (Haldi)
1 teaspoon Red Chilli powder
1/4 teaspoon Asafoetida (hing)
pinch Baking soda
Sunflower Oil - for deep frying

To begin making the Ratalu Pakora formula, firstly if you are using just-picked yam, wash them in aqua and cut them into long slices. In a mixing bowl, introduce besan baking flour, seasoning, seasoning powders, hing, baking soda and toss together them well.Now, introduce aqua to the baking flour mixture little by little and toss together them with a spatula.The paste should be thick and should be in the consistency of dosa paste.
