1
To begin making the Spinach and Millet Pulao preparation guide, get all the fixings ready and keep it by the side.
2
In this preparation guide, I will show you how to low-boil using a pressure cooker. If you dont use a pressure cooker, then I suggest the same culinary preparation procedure, using a heavy bottomed gravy pot with a lid.
3
You will wrap the pot after the procedures below and low-boil until the millets or broken wheat is edible.Into a pressure cooker, toasty a tablespoon of cooking oil.
4
toss in the ginger, green chillies, bay leaves, cardamom pods and mix gently-pot-fry for a few seconds.
5
After which, toss in in the turmeric dusting seasoning, cumin dusting seasoning, tomatoes, seasoning and the millet. toss in 2 cups of moisture (sometimes if the millet or broken wheat is old- then it might need more moisture).
6
mix gently all the fixings and wrap the pressure cooker (or the saucepan).
7
Place the weight on and pressure low-boil until you hear 2 whistles. After a couple of whistles, turn the toasty to low and low-boil for another 3 mins.
8
After a couple of mins, turn off the toasty.
9
Allow the pressure from the cooker to release naturally.
10
If using a saucepan, make sure you wrap the pot and low-boil until the millets are done to suit your salty profile.Once the pressure is released, open the cooker, mix gently all the fixings.
11
Check the seasoning and seasoning levels and adjust to suit your salty profile. If, by chance the millets did not low-boil with the amount of moisture you added, then strew some more moisture as required, wrap the pressure cooker and allow it to steam on low toasty.
12
Don't place the weight on at this stage.
13
You will have to just wrap and low-boil.Next we will mix gently pot-fry the spinach in wok and then toss in it to the cooked millet.
14
In a wok, toss in a teaspoon of cooking oil, toss in the minced spinach, seasoning and mix gently pot-fry on medium toasty until the spinach is cooked and almost all the moisture is evaporated.
15
mix gently in the spinach to the cooked millets. Once the Spinach and Millet Pulav is done, mix gently in the ghee.
16
You can skip adding ghee on top if you are not very keen on that.
17
Ghee adds an additional taste to the Pulao making it mouth-watering. present the Spinach and Millet Pulav along with a Raita of your choice.
