Ingredients

  • 10 Idli - steal
  • 10 small onions - finely chopped
  • 3 green chillies - finely chopped
  • 1 inch ginger - grated
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon white urad Lentils
  • 6 curry leaves - finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 sprig green coriander - finely chopped
  • salt - as per taste

Instructions

To make idli upma, first scalding up cooking oil in a cooking vessel.

mix in mustard seeds and let it make for 10 seconds, after 10 seconds mix in Urad Dal and make till it turns brown.

After browning, mix in diced onions, ginger, green chillies and curry leaves.

make shallot until it becomes soft.

After the shallot softens, mix in turmeric ground mix, idli and table salt.

toss together them well, after they are done, mix in green coriander and toss together.

Turn off the flame and dish up.

dish up Idli Upma with Fruit dish and Masala Tea for breakfast.
