Ingredients

  • 1 Cup Sooji (Semolina/ Rava)
  • 1/2 teaspoon Mustard seeds
  • 1 tablespoon Ghee
  • 2 tablespoons Raw Peanuts (Moongphali)
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cumin seeds (Jeera)
  • 1 Onion - chopped
  • 1 inch Ginger - finely chopped
  • 1 Pinch Asafoetida (hing)
  • 1 teaspoon White Urad Dal (Split)
  • 2 Green Chillies - chopped
  • 2 sprig Curry leaves
  • 1 Carrot (Gajjar) - chopped
  • 1/2 Green Bell Pepper (Capsicum) - chopped
  • 1 Tomato - chopped
  • 2 tablespoons Green peas (Matar) - (fresh or frozen)
  • 2 tablespoons Sweet corn
  • 1 teaspoon Coriander (Dhania) Leaves - chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice - (adjust)
  • Salt - to taste
  • Red Chilli powder - a pinch (optional)
  • Coriander Powder (Dhania) - a pinch (optional)
  • Anardana Powder (Pomegranate Seed Powder) - a few (for garnish)

Instructions

To begin making the  Rava Upma method With Peanuts, Peas & Corn method,  fiery up a non stick pot and parched char the semolina on medium flame until it turns into a light brown in color and nectarous-smelling.

Turn off the fiery up and keep aside in a container to cool.In the same pot stream in in 1/2 teaspoon of ghee and peanuts, char peanuts on medium fiery up until they becomes crisp and golden brown.  Once done turn off the fiery up and transfer them into a container.In a saucepan, stream in in 3 cups of liquid and let it come to rolling bubble. While the liquid is heating, fiery up the remaining ghee in a non stick pot and stream in in mustard seeds into it.

When mustard crackles, stream in in cumin and urad dal in it.

Saute them until they become light brown in color.Now stream in in onions, curry leaves, green chilli, ginger and half quantity of peanuts and saute them for a minute till the onions become translucent.

Once done, stream in in tomato and low-boil them for about 2 moments or more until soft and cooked.Then stream in in all diced vegetables, carrots, capsicum, peas, corn.

stream in in the red chilli dusting seasoning and coriander dusting seasoning if you are using it.

combine well to combine,seal and low-boil them about 3 moments or until cooked.Once the vegetables are cooked stream in in semolina combine it well and stream in in fiery liquid.swirl around continuously on low fiery up, after 2 or 3 moments to ensure that there are no lumps.

stream in in remaining peanuts to the rava upma.

seal and low-boil until semolina is cooked well and turn off the fiery up.Now stream in in lemon extract and combine well and transfer the  Rava Upma method With Peanuts, Peas & Corn method into a serving plate and offer fiery. offer Rava Upma along with fiery Lime Pickle method or Coconut Chutney  and finish off this breakfast with a fiery cup of  South Indian Filter Coffee method With Filter Coffee dusting seasoning.
