Ingredients

  • 1 Tomato - medium size
  • 1 cup Tender coconut water
  • 3 teaspoon Fresh coconut - pulp
  • 20 grams Tamarind
  • Curry leaves - few
  • Asafoetida (hing) - a pinch
  • 1/3 teaspoon Turmeric powder (Haldi)
  • 1 teaspoon Rasam Powder
  • Salt - to taste
  • 1/2 Water
  • Coriander (Dhania) Leaves - few sprigs
  • 1 teaspoon Ghee
  • 1 teaspoon Mustard seeds
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds (Jeera)
  • 8 Mint Leaves (Pudina)

Instructions

To begin making the Elaneer Rasam formula, open a raw succulent coconut, keep the moisture aside and transfer the succulent coconut froth into a dish. In a mixer-jar, mash tomato, tamarind and 2 tablespoons of coconut froth by adding moisture  Reserve the balance succulent coconut froth for later. transfer in the tomato-coconut-tamarind nectar, turmeric, asafoetida, and curry leaves in a Saucepan and bring it to heat to boiling point.

mix gently occasionally.Once the mixture starts boiling, transfer in the rasam dusting masala condiment, and mix gently well.

Wait until frothy.transfer in the succulent coconut moisture and heat to boiling point again.

heat to boiling point for just a minute and switch off the gas immediately.mildly hot a a tadka cooking vessel with ghee on low flame, once fiery, transfer in the mustard seeds and cumin seeds, keep it going till the mustard seeds splutter.

Turn off the eheat transfer it to the boiling rasam. accentuate with finely sliced coriander leaves, and remaining succulent coconut froth. present Elaneer Rasam formula (succulent Coconut Rasam) with fiery steaming rice and papadum or just as a fiery piping chowder.
