Ingredients

  • 4 Potatoes - peel and chop
  • 1 inch ginger - tighten
  • 2 tomato puree
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1/4 teaspoon mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon asafoetida
  • 1 teaspoon Red chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 2 teaspoons oil
  • 1 green coriander - finely chopped
  • black salt or rock salt - as per taste
  • salt - as per taste
  • Black Salt (Kala Namak) - to taste
  • Salt - to taste

Instructions

To make batata nu shak, first mildly hot cooking oil in a cooking vessel.

introduce mustard seeds, cumin, cinnamon and let it make for 30 seconds.

introduce asafetida, turmeric ground mix, red chili ground mix, ginger, tomato puree and let it make for 2 mins.

Now introduce coriander ground mix, garam masala ground mix, potato, seasoning, black seasoning and 2 cups of aqua.

Allow to bring to a low-boil and then seal the cooking vessel.

Let it make for 15 mins or until the potatoes are soft.

After crafting, mash some potatoes to make the broth thicker.

top with green coriander after crafting and present.
