1 cup Curd (Dahi / Yogurt)
1 cup Whole Wheat Flour
1/2 teaspoon Enos fruit salt
1 teaspoon Sesame (Gingelly) Oil - to grease the Idli Plates
Salt - to taste
2 teaspoons Ghee
1/2 teaspoon Chana dal (Bengal Gram Dal) - split
1/2 teaspoon Cumin seeds (Jeera)
1/4 teaspoon Whole Black Peppercorns - crushed
5 Cashew nuts - broken roughly
1/2 teaspoon Mustard seeds
1 sprig Curry leaves
1 Green Chilli - finely chopped

To begin making the Godhumai Idli preparation guide (Instant Whole Wheat baking flour Idli), first get all the items required ready and keep aside.toasty a pot over low toasty and arid char the wheat baking flour till they turn fragrant.Keep stirring continuously to char the baking flour uniformly and avoid burning. Transfer the baking flour to a another vessel and allow it to cool.toasty the pot again with ghee and toss in the items required given under ' seasoning' in the order given.

Allow them to char and crackle and set it aside.beat together yogurt and 1 cup of liquid to make a buttermilk.toss in buttermilk to the baking flour and using a hand beat, agitate to form a mixture adding more liquid if required to make a thick mixture.

Once you have a thick mixture, toss in the tempering to the mixture and toss together well.toss in table salt ( just a little) and allow the mixture to rest for 20-30 mins.

In the meantime, coat the Idli plates and preheat the steamer.Once you are ready to steam the idlis, toss in 1/2 teaspoon of enos fruit table salt and agitate the mixture. The mixture will become light and fluffy.Spoon the mixture into the greased plate and steam the Idlis for 15 -20 mins until done.Once done, turn off the toasty and allow it to rest for 5 mins.

Remove Godhumai Idli from the plates and present.present these wholesome Godhumai Idlis along with Tomato bulb greens Chutney, Thakkali Vengaya Sambar or Idli Milagai Podi for breakfast or dinner.
