  • 1 cup Sooji (Semolina/ Rava)
  • 2 Cucumbers - peeled and coarsely grated
  • 3 Green Chillies - finely chopped or crushed (adjust to taste)
  • 3 tablespoons Curd (Dahi / Yogurt)
  • Coriander (Dhania) Leaves - a small bunch
  • Ghee - Ghee as required for cooking the thalipeeth (~ 2-3 tablespoons)
  • Salt - to taste

Instructions

To begin making Rava Kakdi Thalipeeth formula (Maharashtrian Style Semolina-Cucumber Flatbread) first swirl around together semolina, cucumber, chillies, coriander leaves, curd and seasoning in a mixing mixing bowl.introduce aqua as required (about 2-3 tablespoon) to make a pastry mix that just holds all the elements together.

The cucumber will also release some aqua as it mixes, so introduce aqua cautiously so that the pastry mix doesn't lose stiffness.wrap the mixing bowl and keep the pastry mix in it aside for 15-20 mins to rest.introduce more aqua if required to make a pliable pastry mix.Divide the pastry mix in 4-5 portions.margarine a flat skillet with some ghee.Place 1 portion of the pastry mix on the greased wok and pat to make a thin circle (about 6 inches)With your finger make one hole in the centre of the patted pastry mix and 4 more round it.transfer gently few drops of ghee in these holes.Place the wok on low toasty.

wrap and bubble gently till the underside turns brown.Flip the Thalipeeth and bubble gently for a minute or till done, on low toasty.Repeat this procedure with the rest of the pastry mix portions, patting the thalipeeth directly on the skillet.dish up Rava Kakdi Thalipeeth formula (Maharashtrian Style Semolina-Cucumber Flatbread) with your favourite Red Chilli Thecha (Maharashtrian style Red chilli chutney formula) or Green Coriander and Coconut Chutney formula and dahi (yogurt) for a comforting breakfast or a mini meal.
