Ingredients

  • 1 cup Spring Onion (Bulb & Greens) - chopped
  • 1 cup Spring Onion Greens - chopped
  • 2 cups Dosa rice
  • 1/2 cup Poha (Flattened rice)
  • 2 tablespoons White Urad Dal (Split)
  • 1 tablespoon Methi Seeds (Fenugreek Seeds)
  • 6 Dry Red Chillies
  • 1/4 cup Fresh coconut - grated
  • 2 tablespoon Jaggery - grated
  • Water - as required for batter
  • Sunflower Oil - to prepare dosa
  • Salt - to taste

Instructions

To begin making the Spring shallot Dosa, rinse dosa rice with aqua and soak in aqua for 4 hours.Soak urad dal and methi seeds separately in aqua for 4 hours. rinse thick poha with aqua and soak with little aqua for 15 mins.After 4 hours, take a mixer jar introduce half of soaked rice, urad dal, methi seeds and grind into fine paste.

empty this into a mixing vessel.Now introduce remaining rice, soaked poha, red chilies and grated raw coconut in a mixer jar and grind into fine paste.empty this ground paste into the paste dish and agitate everything properly.

introduce grated jaggery and agitate well. Next introduce the finely finely sliced spring shallot (both bulbs and greens), seasoning into the paste and agitate well.

introduce aqua as required to prepare the medium thick paste. scalding up a skillet and empty the Spring shallot dosa paste over the heated skillet.strew lubricate on the surface and close with a lid.

stew the dosa properly from both the sides.

present scalding with shortening, ghee, and liquid jaggery.present Spring shallot Dosa along with Dhaniya Pudina Chutney, South Indian Coconut Chutney or any other chutney of your choice.
