500 grams Beetroot - very finely chopped or grated
1 cup Fresh coconut - grated
1 teaspoon Mustard seeds
2 Dry Red Chillies - broken
2 Green Chillies - slit
1 tablespoon White Urad Dal (Split)
1 sprig Curry leaves
Salt - as required
1 teaspoon Red Chilli powder
1 teaspoon Turmeric powder (Haldi)
1-1/2 teaspoon Coriander Powder (Dhania)
Coconut Oil - as required
1 cup Water

To begin making the Beetroot Thoran formula, In a non stick wok, mix in 2 tablespoons coconut lubricate and saute the finely finely sliced beetroot for a while.mix in 1 cup moisture or more and low-boil the beetroot till soft with lid closed.Turn off the gas and sieve the moisture.

You can collect the moisture and later use it in making some curry or stew.In the same wok again mildly hot 2 tablespoon coconut lubricate and mix in mustard seeds, urad dal, curry leaves and parched red chili.

Saute them till mustard crackles.Now mix in the cooked beetroot and skillet-fry for some time till the moisture starts absorbing.mix in table salt, red chili dusting scented element, turmeric, coriander dusting scented element and swirl around nicely. Adjust lubricate if required and close the lid to low-boil for another 5 to 6 mins.Meanwhile mix in coconut and green chilies to a mixer and grind coarsely. Once the beetroot thoran is done, turn off the gas and accentuate with the freshly ground coconut and chilli. dish up Beetroot Thoran with scalding steamed rice and keerai sambar for a flawless South Indian meal.
