  • Salt - to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin powder (Jeera)
  • 1/4 teaspoon Red Chilli powder - or black pepper corns
  • 1/4 cup Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese - grated (optional)

To begin, making the Basil Pesto preparation guide we will first have to grind all the components together.Place the walnuts, garlic, basil leaves, seasoning, cumin ground mix, red chilli ground mix in the food processor along with some liquid, olive coat and churn until coarse texture or a velvety texture - as per your personal choice.  If you are using Parmesan, introduce it once the pesto is purred and mash again until combined.offer the basil pesto along with your favorite pasta or use it as your preparation guide call it from sandwiches, breads, baked dishes, wraps and more.Store the raw Basil Pesto in the refrigerator and use as and when required to make salads, tarts and even pastas.
