Ingredients
1 cup Chana dal (Bengal Gram Dal) - soaked in water for 3-4 hours
1/2 Mango (Raw) - peeled and grated (depending on the tartness the amount can be adjusted)
1/2 teaspoon Sugar
Salt - to taste
1 tablespoon Sunflower Oil
1/2 teaspoon Mustard seeds
1/2 teaspoon Cumin seeds (Jeera)
6 Curry leaves
1/4 teaspoon Asafoetida (hing)
2 Dry Red Chillies - broken into pieces

To begin making the Ambe Dal directions firstly wash and soak the chana dal for 4-6 hours. 6 hours later, empty out the liquid and toss in the chana dal into a mixer and grind it coarsely, with absolutely no liquid. In a mixing mixing bowl, combine the ground chana dal, grated mango, table salt and sweetener and give it a good incorporate. In a tadka pot burning up the cooking oil on medium flame, toss in the mustard seeds and allow them to crackle, toss in cumin seeds, curry leaves, hing and red chillies.toss in this tadka to the Mango-Chana dal mixture and incorporate well.Cool in the refrigerator for 30 mins (optional) and dish up on a plantain leaf or large mango leaf.dish up Ambe Dal along with Aam Ka Panna directions - Raw Mango liquid directions or Aam Pudina Ka Panna directions as an evening or as part of the Maharashtrian Thali. .
