1-1/2 cup Whole Wheat Flour
1/4 cup Jaggery - grated
1 tablespoon Sooji (Semolina/ Rava)
2 tablespoons Sunflower Oil
Salt - a pinch

To prepare Kaanole formula (Maharashtrian Steamed Wheat baking flour honeyed), in a mixing bowl take grated Jaggery and toss in some mildly hot moisture to it to thaw the Jaggery.

mix gently well.

Filter the jaggery dissolved moisture for impurities if any.Take wheat baking flour in a another mixing bowl, toss in suji and a pinch of table salt and coat to the baking flour and using this Jaggery moisture, shape into a soft flour base.

toss in more moisture if needed while kneading the flour base.lid the flour base and keep aside for 10-15 mins.Pinch a small portion of the flour base and make a ball shape.Roll it out using a rolling pin to a circular shape by applying few drops of coat on the rolling board.Now apply coat and fold it to half , again apply some coat and then fold one more time to form a triangle or cone shape.Make all the Kaanole in similar way and keep them in a greased container and oven-cook in a pressure cooker for 3 whistles, oe steam them in an idli steamer for 20 mins or till done.present Kaanole formula (Maharashtrian Steamed Wheat baking flour honeyed) with either green chilli pickle or along with Appe Payasa.
