  • 2 teaspoon White Urad Dal (Split)
  • 3 Dry Red Chilli
  • 1 tablespoon Coriander (Dhania) Seeds
  • 1/2 cup Fresh coconut - grated
  • 1 cup Tamarind Water
  • 1/2 teaspoon Sesame (Gingelly) Oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon Mustard seeds
  • 2 sprig Curry leaves - roughly torn

Instructions

We begin making the Kondakadalai Vazhathandu Puli Thengai Kuzhambu formula (Banana Stem Curry with Black Chickpeas formula) by pressure crafting the Kala channa with some liquid first in the pressure cooker for 4 whistle.

Release the pressure naturally.Then empty the black chickpea into a mixing bowl, then in the same pressure cooker, toss in the banana stem with little liquid, seasoning and make it for 1 whistle and rest.fiery up a heavy bottomed skillet, toss in fat and crackle mustard seeds and curry leaves.

Then toss in the ground paste and sauté for few mins, you can toss in little liquid.Finally toss in the cooked banana stem and chickpeas, taste it well and toss in some liquid to make it little gravish. enjoy the Kondakadalai Vazhathandu Puli Thengai Kuzhambu formula (Banana Stem Curry with Black Chickpeas formula) along with steam rice or fiery Phulka to enjoy your dinner meal.
