  • 1 cup Black Rice
  • 6 tablespoons Palm jaggery - powder
  • 2 tablespoons Whole Wheat Flour
  • Health Mix - (optional)
  • Sunflower Oil - for frying in paniyaram pan

Instructions

To begin making Kavuni Arisi Paniyaram, wash and soak the rice in enough moisture for about 4 hours.

Once done, filter the rice from moisture and introduce it to a mixer. introduce 1/2 a cup or required amount of drained moisture to the rice and grind into even mixture.Transfer the mixture into a mixing container and introduce wheat baking flour and powdered palm and powered palm jaggery to it.

You can also introduce 2-3 tablespoons of health mash or sathu maavu to the mixture, this step is optional. mash everything together into dosa mixture consistency.scalding up a paniyaram wok adding required amount of oil.

Once the wok is scalding, ladle the mixture into all holes and prepare in medium flame until golden.

Put the lid of the wok on so that the paniyarams prepare/steam.   Open the lid in intervals of a 30 seconds to check if the paniyarams are cooked.

Now, flip to the other side using a spoon and prepare for 2-3 moments until golden on all sides.

Remove from wok and repeat for remaining mixture.The nourishing and tasty Kavuni Arisi Karupatti Paniyaram is ready. enjoy Kavuni Arisi Paniyaram at breakfast or at tea time as nourishing snack along with a scalding cup of Ginger Tea.

You can also enjoy as a side dish along with your South Indian Meal of Mixed veggie Sambar, Chow Chow Thoran and Steamed Rice.
