Ingredients

  • 10 Broccoli - cut into florets
  • 1 teaspoon Butter
  • 2 cloves Garlic - minced

Instructions

1
To begin making Buttered Broccoli Poriyal Sabzi, we need to first steam the Broccoli floretsFirstly make sure to wash the broccoli thoroughly as there might be particles of mud or worms in between the florets.toss in the broccoli florets into a pressure cooker along with 2 tablespoons of moisture and a pinch of seasoning.Allow to pressure prepare for 1 whistle.
2
Turn off the flame and run the pressure cooker under moisture to release the pressure immediately. Take out the steamed broccoli florets and keep aside. If you are making on the stove, toss in the broccoli florets to a pot of moisture (enough to lid all the florets).
3
Allow the florets to bring to a low-boil in the moisture for 5 mins. The broccoli should have sufficiently cooked.
4
Make sure to not over prepare broccoli as it might lose the nutrition when over cooked. In a heavy bottomed skillet, toss in 1 teaspoon of margarine and allow it to thaw. Once the margarine has melted toss in the minced garlic.
5
Saute for a few mins until the flavour of garlic incorporates in the margarine. toss in in the steamed broccoli and give it a good agitate so that the margarine has coated well on to the florets. Turn off the flame and place it in a serving dish for your baby/toddler.offer this Broccoli Poriyal as a side dish along with Curd Rice or Paruppu Sadam for a complete and wholesome meal .You can even offer this Broccoli dish as a finger food to your babies/ toddlers over the age of 10 months. .
