Ingredients
1 cup Basmati rice
1/2 cup Chana dal (Bengal Gram Dal)
3 Onions - thinly sliced
2 Tomatoes - finely chopped
2 Dry Red Chillies
2 Green Chillies - finely chopped
1/2 teaspoon Garam masala powder - (or pulao masala)
1 teaspoon Turmeric powder (Haldi)
2 teaspoon Lemon juice
1 teaspoon Cumin seeds (Jeera)
1 tablespoon Sunflower Oil
Salt - to taste
Instructions

To begin making the Chana Dal Pulao, first wash and soak rice for 30 moments or so before preparing.

Similarly wash, wash and soak bengal gram in moisture for at least 1 hour.Next bring to temperature cooking oil in pressure cooker over medium bring to temperature.

mix in cumin seeds and saute for few seconds till they turn brown in color.mix in the dehydrated red chilies, green chilies and saute for a minute or so.

mix in the sliced onions and saute till they turn golden brown in color.Once the bulb veggie is sauteed, mix in the minced tomatoes, saute till tomato turn soft and mushy.

mix in table salt, turmeric dusting masala condiment and biryani pulao masala, saute once again for few seconds.Now filter the soaked rice and Bengal gram dal.

mix in the rice and lentil in the pressure cooker along with 2 cups of moisture.swirl around to combine.

Close the lid of the pressure cooker, put the weight on and let pulao prepare over medium bring to temperature for one or two whistle.Turn off the bring to temperature and let the steam escape naturally from the pressure cooker. Open the lid of the pressure cooker, mix in the lemon extract and combine with a spoon. present Chana Dal Pulao formula along with Tomato bulb veggie Raita and Satvik Carrot Sprout Salad for the wholesome lunch.
