1/2 cup Fresh coconut - grated
2 Green Chillies
2 sprig Curry leaves
Cumin seeds (Jeera)
1/2 teaspoon Mustard seeds
1/2 teaspoon Turmeric powder (Haldi)
Salt - to taste

To begin making the Chow Chow Thoran method, strip the chow chow and cut them into medium size dices.

Steam the veggie with table salt in the pressure cooker adding just about 2 tablespoons of moisture or a steamer until it is soft and cooked.In a blender, make a coarse mixture of the coconut, one sprig of curry leaves, green chillies and cumin seeds.Combine the coconut mixture into the steamed chow chow and keep aside.The final step is to make the seasoning.

burning up a small wok with a teaspoon of cooking oil; empty in in the mustard seeds and allow it to crackle.Once it crackles, agitate in the other sprig of curry leaves and the turmeric dusting perfumed element.Turn off the burning up and empty this seasoning into the Chow Chow Thoran mixture.
