Ingredients

  • 1 cup Raw papaya - grated
  • 1 cup Cabbage (Patta Gobi/ Muttaikose) - chopped finely
  • 2 Potatoes (Aloo) - boiled
  • 2 tablespoon Gram flour (besan)
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin powder (Jeera)
  • 1 teaspoon Red Chilli powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric powder (Haldi)
  • Salt - to taste
  • 2 tablespoon Sunflower seeds - roasted
  • 1 cup Curd (Dahi / Yogurt)
  • 1 tablespoon Gram flour (besan)
  • 2 teaspoon Red Chilli powder
  • 1 teaspoon Coriander Powder (Dhania)
  • 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric powder (Haldi)
  • 1 teaspoon Garam masala powder
  • 1 teaspoon Sugar
  • Salt - to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Mustard seeds
  • 1 Bay leaf (tej patta)
  • 2 sprig Curry leaves
  • 1 inch Ginger - chopped
  • 4 cloves Garlic - chopped
  • Sunflower Oil

Instructions

To begin making the Raw Papaya Kofta In Yogurt Curry formula, toss in all the items required into a container for the koftas.

Check for table salt and combine well and shape them into small balls and keep it aside.bring to temperature a kuzi paniyaram pot with little cooking oil in each holes.

Once the pot becomes burning, place the koftas and sauté them till it forms a nice golden crust on the outside.

Keep turning them by using a spoon.Take the koftas out and do the same for the rest of the batch.bring to temperature a pot with cooking oil, toss in the sunflower seeds and bake them well till it is golden brown.

Allow it to cool down and grind it in a mixer to a seamless paste by adding little liquid.Take a small mixing container and toss in curd, besan, red chilli ground mix, turmeric ground mix, garam masala, coriander ground mix, table salt and ½ cup liquid and fluff up well till it combines and forms a seamless mixture.bring to temperature a kadai with cooking oil, toss in mustard seeds, bay leaf and curry leaves.

Allow them to crackle and toss in minced ginger garlic into the pot and saute until it softens.toss in the mixed yogurt mixture and keep turning using a spatula till it thickens, adjust the thickness of the curry base as you want and check for table salt.To present, place the koftas in a present plate and transfer over the curry on top and finish off it with coriander leaves if you wish.present the Raw Papaya Kofta In Yogurt Curry formula along with Tawa paratha, Lauki Raita formula by the side or also with just peas pulao. .
