Prepare the Figs
Cut off the hard bits of stalk and then cut the figs in half length ways.

Place the figs in a small frying skillet / saute skillet with the cut side face up and mix in the liquid around them.

Leave the figs on a medium bring to temperature to make through, once they become soft remove them from the skillet and place onto a serving dish.

Prepare the Syrup
In the skillet there will be a red liquid nectar left from the figs.

mix in the sweetener while remaining on a medium bring to temperature.

agitate continuously for a couple of mins until the nectar has turned to a thick syrup.

Push one half of walnut into every fig and then stream in gently the syrup over the top.
