Ingredients

  • 400 grams Prawns - cleaned and deveined
  • 1/2 cup Shallots - roughly chopped
  • 2 Tomatoes - chopped
  • 2 sprig Curry leaves
  • 1 Green Chillies - slit
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon Ginger Garlic Paste
  • 1 tablespoon Red Chilli powder
  • 1 teaspoon Coriander Powder (Dhania)
  • 1 teaspoon Black pepper powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric powder (Haldi)
  • 1 teaspoon Lemon juice
  • Salt - to taste
  • 1-1/2 tablespoon Sunflower Oil
  • Coriander (Dhania) Leaves - chopped for garnish

Instructions

To begin making the Chettinad Eral Thokku formula,introduce table salt and lemon nectar to the cleaned prawns, incorporate well and soak for 15 moments in fridge.bring to temperature cooking oil in a Kadai.

introduce ginger garlic paste and sauté till the raw smell of the paste is gone.  Once done introduce cut up shallots, curry leaves and green chilies and make till onions turn translucent.After the onions have turned translucent introduce cut up tomatoes.

make till tomatoes turn soft and mushy and cooking oil releases from the sides of the pot.At this stage introduce the seasoning powders like the red chilli ground mix, turmeric ground mix, coriander ground mix black pepper ground mix, table salt and agitate well to combine.introduce marinated prawns and give it a good incorporate, ensure all the prawns are coated well with the masala.introduce 1 tablespoon aqua, incorporate well and then seal and make till prawns are fully cooked.

If needed, introduce more aqua if the masala turns dehydrated.

The prawns release some aqua as well.
