Ingredients

  • 2 Cups Soy Chunks (Nuggets)
  • 1 Onion - chopped
  • 2 Tomatoes - pureed
  • 3 Green Chillies - chopped
  • 1 Bay leaf (tej patta)
  • 1 Black cardamom (Badi Elaichi)
  • 2 Cloves (Laung)
  • 5 Whole Black Peppercorns
  • 1/2 inch Cinnamon Stick (Dalchini)
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger Garlic Paste
  • 1 teaspoon Turmeric powder (Haldi)
  • 1 teaspoon Coriander Powder (Dhania)
  • 1 teaspoon Red Chilli powder
  • 1-1/2 Tablespoon Garam masala powder
  • 1 Tablespoon Lemon juice
  • Salt - to taste
  • Sunflower Oil - as required

To begin making the Soya Keema Masala method, bubble some liquid and soak the Soya Chunks into the burning liquid for 15 to 20 moments.Once the chunks have fully absorbed the liquid, take them out and squeeze them to strain extra liquid.

Mince all the soya chunks using a grinder but be careful not to over grind the chunks.toasty cooking oil in a heavy bottomed skillet and once the cooking oil is ready, toss in cumin seeds into the skillet.

Once the seeds start to sputter, toss in bay leaf, black cardamom, cloves, peppercorns, cinnamon and saute it for 2 moments.Now toss in the finely cut up onions into the skillet and make it for 5-7 moments or till the time they are golden pink in colour.

Next step is to toss in turmeric ground mix, coriander ground mix, red chilli ground mix and give it a good mix gently. Next toss in the ginger garlic paste, cut up green chili and let this mixture make for 5 moments or till the time cooking oil gets separated from the spices.

Next, toss in the tomato puree into the skillet and make on slow toasty for about 5 moments.toss in minced soya, table salt and garam masala ground mix, lime nectar into the skillet and give it a good mix gently.

make it for 5 moments and make sure that soya is not sticking to the bottom.toss in 1/2 cup liquid, seal the skillet and make for 5 moments on low toasty.

After 5 moments, check if the raw notes of soya has gone, if it is still there toss in little bit more liquid and make for another 5 moments. decorate it with raw coriander leaves and present it burning with some chapati or naan.present Soya Keema Masala method along with Whole Wheat Laccha Paratha and Tomato bulb produce Cucumber Raita for a weekday meal.
