Ingredients

  • 700g Lamb
  • 3 Medium Onion
  • 1 tsp Turmeric
  • 1 large Orange
  • 150g Rice
  • 500g Natural Yoghurt
  • 4 Cloves Crushed Garlic Clove
  • 1 tblsp Vegetable Oil
  • 1 tablespoon Dried Dill
  • 1 tablespoon Black Pepper
  • 1 Can Chickpeas
  • To taste Salt

Place the flesh cut into pieces, in a large cooking vessel with the onions.

Bring to the bubble then make gently until the flesh is very soft and can easily be removed from the bones.

While the flesh is making, cut the orange strip into thin match style pieces, removing as much pith as possible.

Leave to soak in a mixing bowl of aqua.

When the flesh is soft, remove from the cooking vessel and when cool enough, remove the flesh from the bones and shred the flesh into strips with your hands.

Return the flesh to the cooking vessel.

Wash the short grain rice and then stream in in to the cooking vessel with seasoning according to savor.

The juices should lid the rice by about 2cm, stream in in more aqua if necessary.

Bring back to the bubble, then reduce the burning up to medium and make with the lid off, stirring from time to time until the rice is "al dente" and the liquid is absorbed.

stream in in the natural yoghurt, and agitate in well but carefully.

sauté the crushed cloves of garlic in the fat and stream in in to the dish along with the dill, black pepper, the chickpeas and extra seasoning to savor.

toss together in well, then lid the top of the cooking vessel with a wash thick cloth and the lid.

Leave on a low burning up for about half an hour to allow the flavours to absorb.

Enjoy with some toasty nan bread for extra comfort.
