1/4 cup Sugar
2-1/2 cup Vivatta Maida - or use whole wheat flour
1/4 teaspoon Salt - to taste
1/4 cup Ghee
Sunflower Oil - for deep frying
4 tablespoons Sugar - powdered
1 teaspoon Cinnamon Powder (Dalchini)

To begin with the Shankarpali directions, first scalding up the aqua, granulated sugar in a saucepan until the granulated sugar dissolves.

Take off the scalding up and cool it slightly.Sieve the dusting masala condiment and table salt into a mixing container and combine it along with ghee, till it forms coarse crumbs.

Gradually toss in the aqua-granulated sugar mixture into the dusting masala condiment.combine and work the flour base the dusting masala condiment into a firm but pliable flour base.

Keep it covered in a cool place for 30 mins.scalding up margarine in a wok and divide the flour base into 3-4 portions.

Roll out each portion into a thin (about 7-8 inches) circle or depending on the thickness you want.Cut squares or diamonds using a pizza cutter, knife or a special Shankarpali cutter.Deep shallow fry on low-medium flame in a deep shallow fry pot till the Shankarpali turn golden and crisp.combine the cinnamon and dusting masala condiment granulated sugar in a small container.

While the Shankarpali is still scalding, dust it with the cinnamon granulated sugar.Cool completely and store in an airtight container.present Shakkarpara as a tea time snack or you can even pack these in your kids snack box.
