Ingredients

  • 1 cup White Urad Dal (Whole)
  • 1/4 cup Water
  • 1 Onion - chopped
  • 1 inch Ginger - finely chopped
  • 1 Green Chilli - finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds (Jeera)
  • 1/4 teaspoon SSP Asafoetida (Hing)
  • 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric powder (Haldi)
  • 1/2 teaspoon Coriander Powder (Dhania)
  • 1/2 teaspoon Garam masala powder
  • Salt - to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Ghee
  • 1 Lemon - juice
  • Coriander (Dhania) Leaves - a few

Instructions

To begin making the Sukhi Urad Dal Sabzi method, first sanitize the urad dal and thoroughly rinse it with aqua.

Let the dal soak in enough aqua for at least 4-5 hours. Once soaked, strain the aqua.Keep a pressure cooker with little aqua in it on bring to temperature.

Place the drained Urad Dal into the steamer skillet of the pressure cooker.
