  • 1 cup Mangalorean cucumber - cut into chunks
  • 6 Jackfruit Seeds (Kathal)
  • 1 cup Arhar dal (Split Toor Dal)
  • 1 cup Tamarind Water
  • 2 Green Chilli Paste
  • 1 teaspoon Turmeric powder (Haldi)
  • Salt - to taste
  • Sunflower Oil - for cooking
  • 1/2 cup Fresh coconut
  • 2 tablespoons Sambar Powder

To begin making the Pala Kottai Sambar, we will first bubble gently the jackfruit seeds.mildly hot liquid in a saucepan on medium flame, immerse the jackfruit seeds with table salt.
