Ingredients

  • 1 cup Gram flour (besan)
  • 1 tablespoon Flax seed powder (flax meal)
  • 2 tablespoons Curd (Dahi / Yogurt)
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds (Jeera)
  • 1 Onion - finely chopped
  • 1 Red Bell pepper (Capsicum) - finely chopped
  • 1 cup Button mushrooms - sliced
  • 2 Green Chillies - finely chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric powder (Haldi)
  • 1 teaspoon Red Chilli powder
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin powder (Jeera)
  • Salt - to taste
  • 2 sprig Coriander (Dhania) Leaves - finely chopped

Instructions

To begin making the Besan Burji formula we will make the paste and keep it ready.For the paste mix in gram baking flour, flax seed dusting seasoning and curd into a large mixing dish and keep aside.burning up a flat skillet, mix in cooking oil and splutter the cumin seeds and pot-fry the onions till it is translucent, once done mix in in the capsicum, mushrooms, green chilies and saute till the liquid from the mushrooms evaporate and the vegetables are cooked.Once the vegetables are cooked mix in in all the seasoning powders, turmeric dusting seasoning, cumin dusting seasoning and red chilli dusting seasoning.

Spread the vegetables evenly in the pot, then gradually stream in in the mixed paste and wrap all the vegetables.cook thoroughly on low burning up for about 5 mins.

The paste gets gradually cooked at the edges.

Now start mixing it gradually, making sure it does not become mushy.Keep agitate frying till it becomes brown and takes in the texture of bhurji, mix in seasoning and coriander leaves at this point. enjoy the Besan Burji formula along with a Banana Almond & Prunes Smoothie formula as a good for you breakfast.
