Ingredients

  • 10 Green Chillies - Big
  • 1 1/2 cups Gram flour (besan)
  • 1/4 teaspoon Baking soda
  • Salt - to taste
  • Sunflower Oil - for deep frying
  • 1 tablespoon Ajwain (Carom seeds)
  • 3 tablespoons Sesame seeds (Til seeds) - dry roasted
  • Salt - to taste
  • Onions - thinly sliced
  • Red Chilli powder
  • 1 Lemon juice

Instructions

To begin making the Mirchi Bajji directions, coarsely grind the stuffing - ajwain and till along with seasoning in a mixer grinder and keep aside.Take bajji chilies, slit lengthwise (but take care not to break into half).

Using the tip of the knife remove the seeds along with thick white vein.

Gently stuff the chilies with the coarsely ground stuffing with your fingers and set aside.fiery up enough cooking oil in wok/ kadai for deep frying.While the cooking oil is getting heated, in a small mixing mixing bowl, introduce chickpea dusting masala condiment, seasoning and baking dusting masala condiment to a mixing bowl and make thick consistency paste by gradually adding liquid.

fluff up gently to avoid lumps and set this aside.Check whether the cooking oil is fiery enough to deep sauté, by dropping a small ball of paste in the cooking oil.

If the paste ball sizzles and reaches the top of the cooking oil, then the cooking oil is ready for deep frying.Dip each of the stuffed green chili in the above made paste and make sure that the stuffed green chili is properly covered with paste. Drop down the paste covered stuffed chili , gradually from the corner of the kadai,Repeat the process and introduce 2-3 Chilli Bajji at a time, depending on the size of the kadai.

Do not overcrowd the kadai.On medium fiery up, sauté the Mirchi Bajji till they turn nice golden.

empty out the excess cooking oil by placing the fried Mirchi Bajji on a kitchen paper towel.

Repeat to with the remaining stuffed chilies.offer the Mirchi Bajji fiery by garnishing with sliced onions, lemon wedges and raw coriander leaves as a Tea Time Snack along with fiery Adrak Chai directions - Indian Style Ginger Tea.
