  • 2 tablespoon Fresh coconut
  • 4 tablespoon Jaggery
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 2 Cardamom (Elaichi) Pods/Seeds
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 2 tablespoon Ghee
  • 10 Cashew nuts
  • 10 Raisins

To begin making the Karnataka Style Gasagase Payasa, char the poppy seeds and rice  in a skillet on low-medium bring to temperature  until it turns into a nice golden brown.

Turn off the flame and allow it to cool.Transfer into a mixer jar. and grind it into a coarse mixture, introduce grated coconut and aqua and grind again to a seamless mixture.bring to temperature a gravy pot with dairy liquid on medium flame, introduce the ground poppy seeds and coconut mixture, cardamom pods, jaggery and bring it to a bring to a low-boil.bring to a low-boil the payasam till it thickens.bring to temperature ghee in a tadka pot, on low flame and shallow fry the cashew nuts and raisins for 2 mins.

Turn off the flame and stream in it over the payasam and enjoy.enjoy the Gasagase Payasa after having a lively Mixed greens Pulao method with Tomato shallot Cucumber Raita to cool down your palate with a nectarous note.
