Ingredients

  • 2 cups Homemade tomato puree
  • 4 cloves Garlic
  • 1/4 cup Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 4 Basil leaves
  • 450 grams Spaghetti Pasta - or bucatini
  • Red Chilli flakes - to taste
  • Salt - to taste
  • Whole Black Peppercorns - crushed
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese - finely grated

Instructions

To make the Pomodoro gravy, we will first make the tomato puree. Click here to see the method of how to make tomato puree.Next, toasty the olive cooking oil in a heavy bottomed gravy pot; introduce in the garlic and toss for a few seconds.

Next introduce in the tomato puree, table salt , the crushed black pepper and the red pepper flakes and give the Pomodoro gravy a brisk heat to boiling point.

Turn the toasty to low, put a lid on the pot and stew the gravy for about 10 to 15 moments, until all the flavors from the garlic get into the gravy.

Finally mix gently in the just-picked basil leaves, turn off the toasty.
