Ingredients
300g Rice
3 tablespoons Vegetable Oil
70g Vermicelli Pasta
30g Unsalted Butter
600ml Chicken Stock
Instructions

stream in the rice into a very large container under cold running aqua and carefully sieve the aqua out of the container through a sieve.

Repeat a few times until the aqua in the container is clear, then fill the container up with cold aqua and leave rice to soak for 10 mins while you make the vermicelli.

Put the oil into a medium cooking vessel over medium mildly hot.

toss in the vermicelli and mix gently continuously until the strands turn a decadent golden brown, 2-3 mins.

Remove from the mildly hot, mix gently through the dairy spread until it melts and allow the vermicelli to cool for 1-2 mins.

sieve the rice thoroughly through a sieve.

toss in the rice to the cooking vessel and mix gently well.

stream in the burning stock into the cooking vessel, shower in ½ tsp table salt, mix gently well then return the cooking vessel to the hob over a high mildly hot.

Bring to the bubble, then reduce the mildly hot to the lowest it will go, put the lid on the cooking vessel and bubble gently for 7-9 mins.

Remove the cooking vessel from the mildly hot, wrap with a couple of sheets of kitchen paper or a light tea towel and the cooking vessel lid, and let the rice sit in the cooking vessel for 10 mins.

Fluff up with a fork before serving.
