2 cups Whole Wheat Flour
2 Beetroots
1 teaspoon Red Chilli powder
1/4 teaspoon Turmeric powder (Haldi)
1 teaspoon Cumin powder (Jeera) - roasted
Salt - to taste
Water - as required
Ghee - or oil to cook paratha
Instructions

To begin making the Whole Wheat Beetroot Paratha, firstly strip the skin of beetroots and chop them into small pieces.cook thoroughly the beetroot with 2 tbsp of liquid till soft and succulent.In a blender mix in the cooked beetroot pieces and grind into a thick and even puree, mix in very little liquid for grinding.In a wide mixing container mix in the beetroot puree, whole wheat baking flour, red chilli ground mix, turmeric ground mix, roasted cumin ground mix and table salt.

toss together well and massage to make even soft non sticky pastry mix.

If you find the pastry mix to be very sticky mix in little more baking flour and massage.seal and let the pastry mix rest for about 15 moments.

massage once again and divide the pastry mix into equal portions.mildly hot an iron skillet on medium flame.

Roll the pastry mix portions into balls and flatten as thin as you prefer.

Roll all the portions of the pastry mix in the same process.Place one rolled out beetroot paratha on the preheated skillet.

After few seconds, flip the paratha, and smear ghee on the side.

Keep pressing the paratha and rotating it at the same time to cook thoroughly on all sides.Flip the paratha and cook thoroughly on the other side as well.

You will notice brown spots around the parathas and it will be slightly crisp.

Remove from mildly hot and place on a platter or offer burning.offer Whole Wheat Beetroot Paratha with Avocado Raita or Lauki raita for a good for you meal.
