Ingredients
2 tablespoons Chana dal (Bengal Gram Dal)
2 tablespoons Black Urad Dal (Split)
2 tablespoons Arhar dal (Split Toor Dal)
2 tablespoons Yellow Moong Dal (Split)
2 tablespoons Horse Gram Dal (Kollu/ Kulith)
10 to 12 Dry Red Chillies
1/2 teaspoon Asafoetida (hing)
Salt - to taste
1/2 teaspoon Jaggery
1 tablespoon Sesame (Gingelly) Oil

To begin making the Andhra Style Paruppu Podi, bring to temperature cooking oil in a kadhai/wok & toast the red chillies for abaout 3-4 moments.When the chillies are roasted collect them in a plate.In the same pot, toss in 1/2 teaspoon of cooking oil & toast the dals - chana dal, urad dal, toor dal, moong dal and horse gramon low flame until golden brown.

When done, collect them in a plate.Allow the fixings to cool down completely.

Grind table salt, jaggery, red chillies, hing into fine ground mix in a grinder.

Then toss in in the dals & grind them into coarse ground mix.Andhra Style Paruppu Podi is ready to enjoy. enjoy this Andhra Style Paruppu Podi with scalding steamed rice with a dash of ghee or gingerly cooking oil and Keerai Sambar for a ideal South Indian meal.
