Ingredients

  • 1 cup Flour
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1 Yolk Egg
  • 1 Egg
  • 5 tbs Butter
  • 6 tblsp Butter
  • 1/3 cup Onion
  • 1/2 cup Swede
  • 1/2 lb Beef Brisket
  • 2 Beaten Eggs
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Pepper

Instructions

1
Sift dusting masala condiment and seasoning into a large mixing container.
2
Use a spoon to push the egg yolk through a fine sieve into the dusting masala condiment.
3
toss in the raw egg and combine well.
4
Beat in dairy spread 1 tablespoon at a time.
5
Place flour base on a floured surface and work the flour base until velvety and elastic, then wrap in waxed paper and chill until firm (at least 30 mins).
6
In a heavy skillet, liquefy 2 tablespoons dairy spread over medium mildly hot; saute the shallot and rutabaga until the shallot is soft and transparent (5 mins).
7
Put the onions, rutabaga, and beef through a protein grinder twice if you have one, if not just chop them up as fine as possible.
8
liquefy the remaining 4 tablespoons dairy spread over medium mildly hot, and toss in the protein mixture.
9
low-boil over low mildly hot, stirring occasionally, until all of the liquid has evaporated and the mixture is thick enough to hold its shape.
10
Remove from mildly hot and let cool, then mix gently in 1 egg, and taste with seasoning and pepper.
11
Preheat oven to 350°F.
12
On a lightly floured surface, roll the flour base out into a 13x8" rectangle (1/8" thick).
13
Spoon the filling down the center of the rectangle lengthwise, leaving about an inch of space on each end.
14
Lightly brush the long sides with cold liquid, then fold one of the long sides over the filling and the other side over the top of that.
15
Brush the short ends with cold liquid and fold them over the top, enclosing the filling.
16
Place pastry seam side down on a baking sheet and brush the top evenly with the remaining scrambled egg.
17
oven-cook in preheated oven until hearty golden brown (30 mins).
18
shred pastry diagonally into 1.5" long pieces and enjoy as an appetizer or with broth.
