1/2 छोटा चम्मच शक्कर
1/2 छोटा चम्मच जीरा
3 इलाइची
1 इंच दालचीनी
2 सुखी लाल मिर्च
1 तेज पत्ता
हींग - चुटकी भर

To make Bengali style Cholar dal method, first wash the lentils thoroughly.

Now in a pressure cooker, mix in table salt, turmeric ground mix, bay leaf, cardamom, cinnamon, liquid along with the dal and close the cooker.

Allow the pressure to strain automatically.

Now toasty the ghee in a cooking vessel.

mix in cumin seeds, asafoetida and prepare till the cumin seeds crackle.

Now mix in green chillies, ginger paste, raisins and prepare for 1 minute.

After 1 minute mix in dal, coconut and incorporate it.

mix in table salt, seal the cooking vessel and prepare for 10 to 12 mins.

After the lentils are cooked, mix in sweetener and coconut pieces, prepare for 1 minute and turn them off.
