  • 1 Bottle gourd (lauki) - small
  • 250 grams Shrimps
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cumin seeds (Jeera)
  • 1 Bay leaf (tej patta)
  • 1/2 inch Ginger
  • 1 Tomato
  • 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric powder (Haldi)
  • 1/4 teaspoon Cumin powder (Jeera)
  • Salt - to taste
  • Sugar - to taste

To begin making the Lau Chingri method, augment the taste the shrimps with seasoning and turmeric ground mix for 10 moments then lightly wok-fry them in mustard fat for 2 moments.To the same wok mix in cumin seeds and bay leaf followed by grated ginger and tomato.Saute them for few moments and mix in bottle gourd.mix in cumin ground mix, seasoning, sweetener, turmeric ground mix, green chilies.put a lid on and low-boil till the bottle gourd losses all its moisture and cooked.mix in the shrimps and low-boil for five more moments. present Lau Chingri along with Steamed Rice and Bengali Jhinge Narkol Chenchki for a satisfying weekday meal.
