  • 2 cups broccoli - cut into small pieces
  • 1 onion - chopped
  • 1 teaspoon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon red chilli powder
  • 2 sprig curry leaves
  • salt - 2 small Spoon oil

Instructions

To make Tamil Nadu style broccoli poriyal, first heat to boiling point liquid in a saucepan.

When the liquid starts boiling, introduce broccoli in it and take pulses for 60 seconds.

After 60 seconds, remove the broccoli and keep it aside.

Now toasty fat in a skillet, introduce mustard seeds and cumin seeds.

Let it low-boil for 20 seconds.

Now introduce curry leaves and after 30 seconds introduce shallot and low-boil till it becomes soft.

Now introduce broccoli and all the spices and incorporate it well.
