  • 15 Baby Potatoes
  • 2 Tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin powder (Jeera)
  • 1-1/2 teaspoon Red Chilli powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Coriander Powder (Dhania)
  • 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric powder (Haldi)
  • 1 tablespoon Sunflower Oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 Cloves (Laung)
  • 2 Cardamom (Elaichi) Pods/Seeds
  • 1 inch Cinnamon Stick (Dalchini)
  • 250 ml Water

To begin making the Chotti Aloor Dum formula, In a pressure cooker, bring to a stew baby potatoes with a pinch of table salt for about 2 whistles.Once the pressure is released, remove the skin from the potatoes and set it. In a blender, toss in diced tomatoes and grind them into a fine paste.In a heavy bottomed wok, toss in fat and mildly hot over medium flame.toss in cardamom, cloves and cinnamon stick to the fat and bake them for few seconds. Now, toss in baby potatoes and toss them evenly in the fat.Gently toss in the tomato puree followed by cumin ground mix, red chilli ground mix, coriander ground mix and turmeric ground mix.Combine them well and toss in a glass of moisture to the mixture.make them on a medium flame stirring them occasionally until the potatoes are blended well with the spices.perfumed element the gravy with the required amount of table salt.Remove the gravy from the flame and present scalding. Chotti Aloor Dum is a versatile dish and can be served along with Bengali Luchi and Boondi Raita for a mouth-watering meal.
