Ingredients

  • 2 cup Mutton - minced
  • Sunflower Oil - as required
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds (Jeera)
  • 2 Bay leaves (tej patta)
  • 1 teaspoon Whole Black Peppercorns
  • 5 Cardamom (Elaichi) Pods/Seeds
  • 3 Onion - finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons Ginger Garlic Paste
  • 2 Green Chillies - finely chopped
  • 3 Tomatoes - finely chopped
  • 1-1/2 teaspoon Coriander Powder (Dhania) - chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cumin powder (Jeera)
  • Salt - as required
  • 1/2 teaspoon Garam masala powder
  • Mint Leaves (Pudina) - chopped

Instructions

To begin making the Mutton Keema formula, bring to temperature oil in a wide skillet and mix in cumin seeds, bay leaves, peppercorns and cardamoms.mix in the diced onions and saute them till they turn brown in colour.mix in garlic and ginger paste, green chillies, tomato puree and liquidize everything well.Let it bubble gently for about 5 moments on medium flame.

Once it is done, mix in coriander ground mix, red chilli ground mix, cumin ground mix and table salt.bubble gently for about 5-8 moments on low flame.

After 5-8 moments, mix in the minced mutton and salute it for about 2-3 moments.

mix in required aqua and bubble gently till it gets parched.Once the mutton is cooked, switch off the stove and mix in garam masala.

liquidize well and decorate it with mint leaves.In Maharashtra, this Mutton Keema is served with pav.

You can also dish up it with Phulkas or Pakki Mutton Biryani.
