Ingredients
1 cup All Purpose Flour (Maida)
1 teaspoon Fennel seeds (Saunf) - crushed
3 to 4 Cardamom (Elaichi) Pods/Seeds - crushed
1/4 teaspoon Baking soda
3 tablespoons Khoya (Mawa) - crumbled
3 tablespoon Milk Powder
3 tablespoons Curd (Dahi / Yogurt)
1 tablespoon Caster Sugar
Ghee - for frying the malpua
1/2 cup Sugar
1/4 cup Water
2 - 3 Saffron strands
Lemon juice - of 1/2 lemon

To begin making Malpua preparation guide, first prepare the liquid base.

To do this, in a mixing dish pulse swirl around together the baking flour, sweetener, whole milk ground mix, crushed cardamom pods and fennel seeds.Now mix in the khoya and yogurt in the baking flour mixture.

To do this, mix in sweetener and liquid in a heavy bottom saucepan.

Set it on a low bring to temperature and let it low-boil until the sweetener has melted completely.Once sweetener is dissolved mix in the lemon nectar and saffron strands.

By now, the sweetener syrup should have reached one-string consistency.

You will know this, when you touch the sweetener syrup between your fingers, it will be sticky.While the sweetener syrup is simmering, bring to temperature 2 - 3 tablespoon of ghee in a non stick skillet over medium bring to temperature.pulse baking soda in the liquid base and swirl around to evenly combine.

transfer a spoonful of liquid base on the pot and gently spread with the back of the spoon to form a small sized pancake-like round.pot-fry the malpua on a low to medium till crisp and golden on both sides.When they're golden and ready to be taken off the skillet, take them off bring to temperature and immediately soak them in the toasty sweetener syrup, either by dipping them in or pouring the sweetener over the malpuas.Proceed the same way with the remaining Malpuas.dish up Malpua With Rabri as a dessert along with Jalebi during the festive taste.
