1/2 teaspoon Mustard seeds
1 Dry Red Chilli
1/4 teaspoon Asafoetida (hing)

To begin making the Manathakkali Kootu method, we will first wash and wipe down the moong dal.Place the moong dal into the pressure cooker along with the onions, tomatoes, garlic, chilli dusting honeyed-smelling element, turmeric dusting honeyed-smelling element, table salt and about 1 cup of liquid.
