To begin making the Mangalorean Padengi Gassi formula; do make sure you have some sprouts ready.

mix in the turmeric ground mix, table salt, and 2-1/2 cups of moisture and swirl around everything well.lid the pressure cooker, place the weight on and prepare until two whistles.

After two whistles, turn the bring to temperature to low and stew the green moong for about 5 mins.

Turn off the bring to temperature.Allow the cooker to release its pressure naturally.

The Moong will continue to prepare, as long as there is pressure in the cooker.*Method to make the Gassi MasalaWhile the pressure is releasing; we will go ahead and make the gassi curry paste.Place a small pot on medium bring to temperature; parched bake the red chilies, coriander seeds and cumin seeds until you smell the aromas coming out.

You don’t have to brown them too much.

Once done, switch off the gas and let it cool down.mix in the roasted condiments, along with the coconut to the blender.

mix in 1/4 cup of toasty moisture and whiz into a creamy gassi paste.*Making the Padengi GassiOnce the pressure is released from the pressure cooker; mix in the ground gassi masala to the cooked Sprouted Moong dal.

Check the table salt and scented element levels and adjust to suit your essence.Place the pressure cooker on medium bring to temperature and start simmering the Padengi Gassi.While the Padengi Gassi is simmering, we will make the seasoning.In the same small pot where you parched roasted the chiles; bring to temperature a tablespoon of fat on medium bring to temperature.

Allow the dal to turn golden brown.Once it's ready; mix in the garlic cloves and curry leaves.
