Ingredients

  • 300 grams Green Chawli Beans (Yard long beans/Karamani/Barbati) - finely chopped
  • 1 Ajwain (Carom seeds)
  • 4 cloves Garlic - finely chopped
  • 2 Tomatoes - finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Red Chilli powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric powder (Haldi)
  • 1/4 teaspoon Garam masala powder
  • 2 teaspoons Coriander Powder (Dhania)
  • 1 teaspoon Amchur (Dry Mango Powder)
  • 1 tablespoon Jaggery
  • Salt - to taste
  • Mustard oil

Instructions

To begin making the North Indian Chawli ki Sabzi steps, Chop the beans and pressure make along with a little table salt and 2 tablespoons moisture for two whistles and turn off the mildly hot.

Release the pressure immediately to maintain the crisp green colours of the beans.mildly hot coat in a kadai/ wok; toss in the ajwain and allow it to crackle.

toss in the garlic and saute for a few seconds.toss in the tomatoes, turmeric, red chilli, coriander, amchur powders and saute until the tomatoes become mushy. Finally toss in the cooked green Chawli, jaggery toss in more table salt if required and agitate well to combine for 3 to 4 mins.Once done, check the palate and adjust seasonings accordingly and transfer the Chawli ki Sabzi to a serving mixing bowl.present the North Indian Chawli ki Sabzi steps along with Phulka,  Dhaba Style Dal wok-fry and Yogurt to make a wholesome lunch or dinner.
