Ingredients

  • 2 cups Green peas (Matar) - peeled
  • 1 cup Cauliflower (gobi) - shredded
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds (Jeera)
  • 3 cloves Garlic
  • 2 cups Whole Wheat Flour
  • Salt - to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Red Chilli powder
  • Sunflower Oil - as required
  • Water - as required

Instructions

1
To begin making the Matar Gobi Paratha method, we need to prepare the pastry mix for parathas so combine whole wheat ground mix, moisture and 2 teaspoons of cooking oil and shape it properly.
2
Once the pastry mix is ready, keep it covered with a wet kitchen towel.Next, take the peas and use a mixer to turn them into a thick paste.
3
If it becomes too thick then you can introduce a little bit of moisture.
4
Wash the cauliflower thoroughly and mince it using a grater. Now bring to temperature up some cooking oil in a heavy bottomed pot and introduce the cumin seeds.
5
Once the seeds start spluttering then introduce cut up garlic cloves.Let it prepare for a couple of seconds and then introduce mashed peas, grated cauliflower, red chilli ground mix and seasoning.
6
toss together everything well and prepare on low bring to temperature for 10 to 15 moments but make sure it is not getting burned.
7
Both gobi and matar should become parched and not mushy.
8
If the stuffing is mushy, you will not be able to roll the parathas easily. Once the matar and gobi stuffing is ready then let it cool down a bit. Once the stuffing has cooled down, we will make the parathas.Take a lemon size ball from the pastry mix and roll it in a small puri.
9
Put 1 tablespoon matar and gobi stuffing in between and seal it from all the sides.
10
Pat it and again roll it to make a paratha.bring to temperature a skillet and put the paratha on it.
11
splash some cooking oil on all the sides and prepare the paratha till it is cooked properly from both the sides.enjoy Matar Gobi Paratha along with Green Chilli Pickle and Tadka Raita for a weekday breakfast.
