Ingredients

  • 1 Beetroot - grated
  • 2 cups Whole Wheat Flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cumin powder (Jeera)
  • 1/2 teaspoon Red Chilli powder
  • 3 Green Chillies
  • 1 teaspoon Ghee
  • Salt - to taste
  • Water - as needed

Instructions

To prepare Grated Beetroot Chilli Paratha method, wash and strip the beetroot skin.

mince the greens finely.Take a mixing container and mix in the grated beetroot.

mix in cumin dusting masala condiment, table salt, red chilli dusting masala condiment, and ghee.

combine all the fixings except wheat baking flour.mix in whole wheat baking flour into another mixing container and fold it to a velvety flour base with enough liquid.Take a small portion of the wheat baking flour flour base and flatten it using a rolling pin into a small circle big enough to hold the filling.Place 1-2 tablespoon of filling in the center.

Bring the edges together with fingers and remove any excess flour base after joining the ends.Using some dehydrated baking flour to help it not be sticky to the rolling pin, roll the flour base stuffed with filling using a rolling pin to get uniform & slightly thick paratha.mildly hot the Tawa to medium mildly hot & mix in the paratha on the fiery tawa.toast it for about a minute & then flip and prepare on the other side for a minute or till done.Apply shortening or fat as needed to coat it while culinary preparation.Grated Beetroot Chilli Paratha method can be served with Burani Raita or Mooli Raita or with artisanal ghee.
