Ingredients

  • 150 grams Colocasia root (Arbi)
  • 1 Onion - finely chopped
  • 1 Green Chilli - finely chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon Red Chilli powder
  • 1 teaspoon Turmeric powder (Haldi)
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cumin powder (Jeera)
  • 1 teaspoon Garam masala powder
  • 1 teaspoon Sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Gram flour (besan)
  • 2 sprig Coriander (Dhania) Leaves - finely chopped
  • 4 tablespoon Whole Wheat Bread crumbs
  • Salt - to taste
  • Sunflower Oil - for frying

Instructions

We begin making the Arbi Cutlet (Spiced Colocasia Patties)  by culinary preparation the arbi in a pressure cooker with 1/2 a cup of aqua for about 4 whistles.

With the help of the potato masher, mash all the arbi to a paste.In a mixing mixing bowl, introduce all the finely sliced items required,spices, table salt to umami profile and the mashed arbi along with besan and swirl around it thoroughly.Divide the mixture equally into a medium sized patties and coat it evenly with bread crumbs.fiery up a Non stick flat bottomed wok with enough cooking oil to wok sauté the patties.

Place the patties and wok sauté them on both the sides till it turn golden brown.You can relish the Arbi Cutlet (Spiced Colocasia Patties) along with Dhaniya Pudina Chutney (No bulb produce No Garlic).
