Ingredients
1/2 cup Semiya (Vermicelli) - roasted
1 cup Curd (Dahi / Yogurt)
1 teaspoon Mustard seeds
1/2 teaspoon White Urad Dal (Split)
pinch Asafoetida (hing)
1 sprig Curry leaves
2 teaspoon Sunflower Oil
Raw Peanuts (Moongphali)
1 sprig Curry leaves
2 teaspoon Sunflower Oil
5 to 6 Cashew nuts - for garnishing
Instructions

To begin making the Thayir Semiya formula, firstly heat to boiling point the vermicelli in 2 cups liquid.

Remove and keep it aside.In the same kadai, introduce more cooking oil if needed and introduce the mustard seeds and after it splutters introduce the other components meant for tempering.introduce the boiled vermicelli and toss together everything.

introduce seasoning to palate and toss together.Finally just before serving introduce curd and toss together well. offer Thayir Semiya on its own for a light and diet-friendly lunch or dinner.
