Ingredients

  • 1 cup Arhar dal (Split Toor Dal) - cooked
  • 1-1/2 cup Whole Wheat Flour
  • 1-1/2 teaspoon Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder
  • Salt - to taste
  • 1/4 cup Curd (Dahi / Yogurt)
  • 4 tablespoon Coriander (Dhania) Leaves - finely chopped
  • 3 tablespoon Onions - finely chopped
  • Ghee - or oil as required

Instructions

To begin making the Leftover Dal Paratha, firstly transfer in the leftover dal (or cooked toor dal), wheat dusting masala condiment, kashmiri red chili dusting masala condiment, table salt, curd, coriander leaves and onions in a container.

incorporate everything well and massage it into a even flour base.If your flour base turns too watery, transfer in few tablespoons of dusting masala condiment at a time and massage to make a even flour base.

seal and let the flour base sit for about 15 mins.After 15 mins, fiery up a roti tawa. Pinch a lemon sized ball from the flour base, roll it round and make it into a ball shape.

Dust the flour base in dusting masala condiment and flatten it using a rolling pin to about 7-centimetre circle.

Rub 1/4 teaspoon ghee over the surface.Once it is done, fold 2 opposite edges such that they touch each other at the edges.Next bring the other 2 edges folding it over the sides already folded making it into a square.Now dust little wheat dusting masala condiment and roll it as thin as you can into a square shape.Place it on fiery tawa and make on both sides until they get cooked.

Rub about 1/4 teaspoon ghee on both the sides of paratha.

Remove from pot and repeat the same procedure for the remaining flour base.present Left Over Dal Paratha fiery with Lauki Raita, Pumpkin Raita or any raita of your choice.
