Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup Badi (wadi) - lightly crushed
  • 300 grams Fresh green chickpeas
  • 1/4 cup Homemade tomato puree
  • 1 inch Ginger - grated
  • 1 cup Curd (Dahi / Yogurt)
  • 1/4 teaspoon Asafoetida (hing)
  • 2 teaspoon Coriander Powder (Dhania)
  • 1 teaspoon Turmeric powder (Haldi)
  • 1 teaspoon Red Chilli powder
  • Salt - to taste
  • Sunflower Oil - to cook
  • Coriander (Dhania) Leaves - small bunch

Instructions

To begin making the Punjabi Wadi Choliya Ki Sabzi formula, toasty 1/2 tablespoon of fat in a heavy bottomed wok.

toss in the crushed urad dal wadi to the fat and sauté on low toasty till they become crisp and golden.

Take care not to overcook them.

Once done, remove the fried wadis to a container and keep aside.toasty a teaspoon of fat in the same wok.

toss in the tomato purée, ginger, asafoetida, turmeric ground mix, coriander ground mix and red chili ground mix.

Sauté and stew on medium toasty for 3-4 mins until the tomato puree is thick.Now toss in the Hara Choliya (Green Chickpeas) and crisp wadi to the wok.Toss well and toss in 2 cups of moisture, seasoning and bring the Choliya Wadi Sabzi to a brisk bring to a stew.

Once it comes to a brisk bring to a stew, turn the toasty to low, seal with a lid and stew till moisture is reduced to half and hara Choliya is yielding and cooked.mix gently in the yogurt and stew for another minute.

Once done, check the seasoning and seasoning levels and adjust to suit your savor.

Turn off the toasty and transfer to a serving container.
